Thank you for selecting Katelyn Ellis of Electra Equine Training LLC, as a trainer for your horse. Katelyn is very professional with her training and cares for each horse as if it were her own. You can be confident in her training program and know that your horse will get the quality time and training they deserve. No two horses are the same, therefore Katelyn adapts her methods to set your horse up for success. Katelyn strives to make your horse soft and supple throughout their whole body, respectful on the ground and in the saddle, while at the same time building a good foundation. She is a hard worker who strives for each horse to shine in their own individuality. Not only does Katelyn want to make sure your horse will be well-rounded for you but aims to create confidence between you and your horse.

From the time she was just a toddler, Katelyn has had a huge passion for horses. Her parents would do their best to include horses in her life. For 15 years, starting at the age of 10, she was fortunate enough to have a neighbor, Cordell Curiale, who was a certified horse trainer under Dennis Reis, he would also study and attend the clinics of numerous well renowned horse trainers. Katelyn is more than grateful to have such a knowledgeable mentor in her life and with the help of his mentorship she has continued on her own and established Electra Equine Training LLC in 2017. From there, Katelyn has helped numerous people and their horses from the ground and into the saddle to build the confidence needed in those partnerships.
While still in college, earning her Bachelor’s in Biology, she trained under Ken McNaab and earned her master trainer certificate. In earning her certification, she worked on colt starting, fine tuning, problem solving, and several great training maneuvers to apply in and out of the arena. She continues to maintain a close professional and personal relationship with Ken. Her plan is to continue expanding her knowledge in all aspects of horses and horse training throughout the span of her lifetime.
